Leadership is often seen as giving orders, but true leadership in sports is about inspiring and empowering your athletes to lead themselves.

As coaches, we’re not just training skills, but also creating leaders who can make decisions, motivate each other, and push themselves beyond their limits. 🚀

The question is: how are you empowering your athletes to lead both on and off the field?

🙌🏼 Great leadership fosters trust, autonomy, and accountability. When athletes feel a sense of ownership, their engagement, focus, and effort increase.

💡 Actionable Tip: Next practice, select a player to lead part of the session. It could be as simple as running the warm-up or leading a specific drill.

☝🏼 You’ll be amazed at how much growth happens when they step into leadership roles.

❓Question: What small leadership roles can you give your athletes this week?
